Weβre eating out less β¦Β Rising costs are making people of all generations reconsider their eating out options. A new YouGovΒ surveyΒ found that while 70% of Americans still eat out at least once a month, more than a third say theyβre doing so less often than a year ago. Of those cutting back, 69% cite the rising cost of restaurant meals, while 58% say theyβre simply trying to save money. When it comes to saving money at a restaurant, 58% of Gen Z and Millennials like to use coupons as opposed to 48% of Gen X and Boomers. And in a surprise for two generations that drink less alcohol, 37% of Gen Z and Millennials skip drinks when eating out, compared to 46% of Gen X and Boomers.
