Lil Wayne says he's talked to Kendrick Lamar about the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
As everyone knows, Weezy was pretty upset that he wasn't chosen to perform in his hometown of New Orleans at the Big Game. But now that the dust has had a chance to settle, he's gotten a little bit of perspective. He was on his buddy Skip Bayless's show Monday and said, "I've spoken to him and I wished him all the best and told him he'd better kill it. You'd better kill it, he gotta kill it."
Wayne also admitted that he hadn't heard K-Dot's lyrics on "wacced out murals" until Skip read them out loud: "I used to bump Tha Carter 3, I held my Rollie chain proud/ Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down." Weezy reacted, "There was no explanation that was needed for that. I think I understand. His hard work is the reason why he made it there, and obviously that part about letting me down is me just being upset and disappointed about not getting the spot."
The Super Bowl will air live on FOX on February 9th.
