TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
You can probably guess why law enforcement is being so careful about the release of the video.
It's hard to tell the whole story with just a 20 second clip.
Law enforcement really needs to rethink when and how they use deadly force.
Andrew Brown Jr. had his hands on the steering wheel of his car when he was fatally shot by sheriff's deputies. That's what Brown's family said Monday after they were shown just 20 seconds of body-camera footage.
The family expected to view the footage at noon Monday, but the viewing was pushed back because the county attorney wanted to make edits, according to the Brown family attorneys.
Chantel Cherry-Lassiter, an attorney for the family, says the footage showed Brown in his vehicle, boxed in a driveway by law enforcement so he couldn't escape. She said, "He had his hands firmly on the steering wheel. They run up to his vehicle shooting. He still stood there, sat there in his vehicle, with his hands on the steering wheel while being shot at." (NBC News)
