Hardworking single mother who has 3 children ages 17,10, and 7 two boys and a little girl. I work for South Carolina Department of Disability and Special Needs. I lost a lot in life my home burned down 6 years ago and I had nothing at all... my children and I was living place to place barely having anything to eat. We moved to Columbia 5 years ago and started over. Well things went well until I decided to move to a apartment complex that was affected by the 2015 flood. I have so many pictures and everything of how my home looks. People think I make a lot of money because I work for the state. But they are wrong. I struggle day by day just to make sure we are good. I get snap benefits but they cut me down due to $35 child support I get weekly for a 17 year old. My home isn't a home. I been trying to save to buy a home but could never manage to save at all. I am currently working and I also Doordash and work and go to school so I can make a better life for my children. I am originally from Camden SC. I help others as much as I can. I have put myself on the line for a lot of things. As of yesterday my boyfriend was in a accident and total loss our truck thank God he is still here. But is suffering with a broken back bone. So I am cleaning cooking making sure the kids are good homework done and trying to work and make sure my work is submitted also. I be so tired most of the time. I myself have health issues and really trying to maintain and make sure everything is taken care of at the end of the day. Even when I don't feel good. But I wanted to tell my story.
