Jada M. Samuel is a creative communicator with a passion for service.
After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism, Jada began her career as a lifestyle reporter and producer at WIS News 10 in Columbia, SC. She took on the opportunity to work in the world of politics as an Organizer for a presidential campaign. In August of 2020, Jada launched her own multidisciplinary marketing firm called The Gleam Agency.
Jada competed at Miss South Carolina and finished as a Top 10 finalist twice. She currently holds the title of Miss Greater Greer and will participate in the June 2021 scholarship competition.
In 2014, Jada launched a nonprofit mentoring organization called iShapeMe Inc. that encourages girls to have a high self-esteem, positive body image, a fit and healthy lifestyle and a grounded faith. The organization has hosted events that have reached nearly 300 girls, launched a mentoring program and awarded more than $5,000 in scholarships.
Jada is currently working towards her MBA with a focus in marketing. She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Later, she plans to pursue a Master of Public Policy and eventually have a career seated at the intersection of communications and public service.
