Teacher Who Had Sex with 13 Year Old Student Sentenced To 20 Years In Jail

Brittany Zamora, A former Arizona teacher, who had sex with her 13 year old student was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Friday.

It was reported that Zamora had sex with the minor in her classroom while another student watched. 

Zamora told the court, “I am a good and genuine person who made a mistake and regret it deeply. I lived my life respecting and trying to obey every law. I’m not a threat to society by any means.” She later apologized to the victim, his family, and her family. 

Zamora’s attorney, Belen Olmeda Guerra said during a news conference after the hearing, “This was not between a young child and Brittany — this was a teenager”
