T.I. isn't holding back in a new song that appears to be aimed at his foe, 50 Cent.
On Sunday night, February 22, Tip uploaded a snippet of an unreleased track to his social media accounts. In it, he warns his haters that "the bear hibernating, don’t poke him" and brags that he's been “the strongest for the longest."
“Top three in my city, you know I’m in that / And I ain’t number three, what you gettin’ at?” he raps. "I know we ain't trying to pretend that the king won't get a sledgehammer for an insect.”
Tip doesn't name any names in the snippet, but it's more than likely that he's talking about 50 Cent. The two superstar artists have going back and forth over the past few weeks. Tip has challenged Fif to a song-for-song battle several times since Verzuz launched in 2020, but the "Power" creator declined to face him.
In his recent interview with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco, Tip revealed that he still wants to battle 50 Cent. However, in his latest sit-down with Million Dollaz Worth of Game, he shared that Fif actually agreed to do the battle years ago but later backed out of the matchup.
At first it was about celebrating each other's catalog," T.I. explained. "Me and that n***a talked about this bruh. I ain't just call him out the blue... I said 'What you think about this.' He was like 'You wanna do that s**t?' "That s**t ain't gon' happen. I said 'Yeah' and he was like 'Aight cool.'" I told him, 'I'mma jump out there first and then you'll jump out there and we'll line it up.' He said 'Aight.' When I jumped out there, that n***a act like he ain't know what the f**k goin' on. Then, that's what it was about."
Of course, 50 Cent had his own responses to Tip's interview and song. He fired back by posting an unflattering photo of T.I.'s wife Tameka "Tiny" Harris, with the caption, "I keep saying keep my name out ya mouth, 🤷ok ?" Once the snippet dropped, Fif uploaded a photo of Pepe The Frog with a big "LOL" in the caption. The photo of Tiny struck a nerve with T.I.'s son, King, who hopped on Instagram to respond. King Harris shared a photo of 50 Cent's mom's grave and dissed him in a lengthy video he posted to his Instagram Story.
"F**K YO BIT*H A$$ and dig up yo mama," King wrote under the photo.
