Ford Motor Company is recalling nearly 230,000 vehicles in the United States due to a software flaw in the instrument panel display. The issue can prevent critical information, such as warning lights and vehicle speed, from appearing, increasing the risk of a crash. The recall affects 2025-2026 model year Bronco and Bronco Sport vehicles, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in a notice posted on Tuesday (November 18).

Ford plans to address the issue with a software update, which will be available for free at dealerships or delivered wirelessly through an over-the-air update. As of early November, Ford had received 12 warranty claims potentially related to the display issue, but no injuries have been reported.

The recall includes 128,607 Ford Bronco Sports and 101,002 Ford Broncos. Owners will receive notification by mail starting December 8, instructing them to visit a Ford or Lincoln dealership for the software update.

This recall follows a previous recall of 740,000 vehicles last month due to camera display, steering, and seatbelt issues. The NHTSA recall number for this issue is 25V540, and Ford's recall number is 25SC3. Affected owners can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 for more information.
