6ix9ine is back on lockdown after he allegedly got into a violent altercation with a man in Florida.
According to a report NBC News published on Friday, September 26, the controversial rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, appeared at a courtroom in the Southern District of New York for his arraignment over an alleged fight in Palm Beach County. Hernandez admitted to punching and kicking a man at a mall after he allegedly called the artist a snitch. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor battery, which violated the terms of his probation. Instead of being sent to jail, Judge Paul A. Engelmayer ordered Hernandez to remain under house arrest with an electronic ankle monitor.
"I think the judge made the right call just for the fact that he's pending sentence, it would have been too drastic of a remedy to put him in jail," Lance Lazzaro, Hernandez's lawyer, said in a statement. "He went to a mall with his family, and a person who had a gun threatened him and called him a snitch and started a whole situation. He has to live every day with people doing stupid things to him and provoking him, which clearly was the case here."
This is just the latest instance in which Hernandez has admitted to breaking the rules of his probation. Back in July, the "Gummo" rapper admitted to possessing several hard drugs at his home in West Palm Beach. MDMA and cocaine were discovered following a raid at his property, where authorities found the drugs plus a weapon in his pool house.
His final sentencing hearing will be on November 4.
