Kevin Gates had the internet buzzing after he made a courtside appearance at a Los Angeles Lakers game following his controversial comments about star player LeBron James and his wife, Savannah.
The apparent beef between the rapper and NBA star began earlier this week after Gates shared his unwarranted opinion on James' marriage. In a now-viral Instagram post, Gates compared the way Savannah looks at her husband to the gazes he allegedly receives from white women, who are "d*cked out" by his presence. The rapper claimed that Savannah acts like a "jail warden" around James rather than a "supportive wife."
James appeared to fire back at Gates' remarks, sharing a photo on Instagram of him and his wife with the caption “Kings don’t concern themselves with the opinions of peasants."
“Where to next Queen?!?! Let’s get it!” the Lakers star added.
Savannah also seemingly responded to Gates' comments as she shared an old clip of Nicki Minaj saying, "What? Um—chile, anyways, so.”
After the pair appeared to address the rapper's take, Gates doubled down on his remarks in another social media post, saying, “Sometimes the truth hurts, but it heals.” Gates then made his next move in the apparent beef, appearing courtside at the Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game on Tuesday (April 22) with Brittany Renner.
