Jeezy will celebrate the 20th anniversary of his classic album this summer with a black tie, symphonic tour.
On Wednesday, April 23, the Atlanta native announced the plans for his "Thug Motivation: 101 Live" tour. Jeezy and DJ Drama will travel to 23 major cities to perform hits from his third studio album Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101 with assistance from the Color of Noize Orchestra. The tour will begin in Miami on June 27 and will roll through New York City, Nashville, Houston, Atlanta and more cities until it wraps up in Detroit on September 12.
"This is for all my day ones!!!" Jeezy wrote in his announcement. "We’re celebrating the journey—highs, lows, setbacks, and triumphs. It doesn’t get easy. WE JUST GET BETTER."
Jeezy dropped his major label debut Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101 on July 26, 2005. Fans can expect to see symphonic performances of iconic hits from the album including lead singles like "Go Crazy," "My Hood," "And Then What" featuring Mannie Fresh and "Soul Survivor" featuring Akon. The Snowman plans to celebrate the album's official 20th anniversary in his hometown on Saturday, July 26.
Jeezy also enlisted musician Adam Blackstone to direct and supervise the show along with Derrick Hodge, who will conduct the live orchestra. Presale tickets will be available on the tour's official website beginning Thursday, April 24 at 10 a.m. with the code: TM101. General ticket sales kick off on Friday, April 25.
