Kendrick Lamar Allegedly Cut Damaging Lyrics From Original ‘Euphoria’ Diss

Kendrick Lamar apparently had more disparaging lyrics about Drake on his diss track "Euphoria" but decided to cut them before it dropped, according to Punch.

During a lengthy discussion media personality Curtiss King posted on Thursday, April 17, Terrence "Punch" Henderson was asked about the rumor behind the original version of K.Dot's scathing diss track aimed at Drizzy. Word on the street is Lamar's first draft of "Euphoria" was 18 minutes long and had more razor-sharp bars about Drake. Punch claimed Lamar cut his verses down to exclude a lot of stuff, but didn't exactly specify how long it used to be.

“I don’t know the length, but it was definitely longer,” Punch said. “It was definitely longer than the version that the world got. There was a lot of stuff that didn’t make it on there. There was just some things in there that I didn’t think would have been beneficial in the long run to put in there. So I gave him my input on that or whatever and he took some of those things off.”

Punch also confirmed what most fans may have already believed about Drake and Kendrick's issues. Drake and Kendrick's beef may have blown up in 2024, but Punch reminded fans where the root of their feud actually began. He recalled how the Big 3's beef began after Kendrick went scorched earth on Drake and other artists on Big Sean's 2013 track "Control."

“Dot did the whole thing and—it’s a competition thing, not a ‘I hate you’ thing,” Punch said. “We rapping, I’m tryna be better than everybody. You should be too. So, lotta people took it personal.”
