Denise "The Diva" Brooks

This on the move She-Ro has a story to share but first her background.

Growing up in Columbus, Ms. Denise Brook who is known as The Diva never imagined she would be programming radio stations for one of the biggest radio groups in the world iHeartradio and designing her own innovative syndicated radio show "The Diva's Den." Brooks in fact, had aspirations to be an interior designer. During her sophomore year in college she got her first job at as aTraffic Director for WCBI Radio AM550 and became interested in becoming an announcer the day The Challenger Exploded in 1986, when she walked in the control room and saw the announcers reporting the story. Before becoming an announcer she was also a Bookkeeper for WACR Radio, Columbus,Ms. Self taught Brooks got her first announcing job at Country Radio Station WMBC, Columbus. Subsequently The Diva has aired on WACR-FM, Columbus,Ms,WMXU-FM,Columbus,Ms,WIMX-FM,Toledo,Ohio, WJKX-FM,WZLD-FM,WEEZ-AM, Laurel,Hattiesburg,Ms.. Brooks is a community involved include Hattiesburg Public School District, Kuntry Kidz Foundation Board Member, Juneteenth Community and The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Community. She has won numerous awards: Mississippi Broadcaster Award for Radio Station of The Year, Radio Announcer of The Years, Community Service Program of The Year,Dr MLK Community Service Award of The Year and currently she has designed an innovative syndicated radio show "The Diva's Den" that airs on 10 radio stations across the United States that can be heard worldwide.
