Ne-Yo says he should have to option to marry his two new girlfriends without any say from the government.

The seasoned singer took a stroll in The Grove in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 18 with his two lovely girlfriend on each side of him. During his impromptu interview with TMZ, Ne-Yo defended polygamists' right to marry multiple partners. It's illegal to have two or more spouses in the state of California, but clearly dating multiple people at once is still free game. The "So Sick" crooner believes the government should stay out of people's personal lives, but don't expect him to rally for change in Washington, D.C.

"I feel like in the realm of love and romance you should let people do whatever the hell they want to do," Ne-Yo said. "Can't see how it's hurting anybody."

Ne-Yo's stance on polygamy won't shock fans who've been following his movements over the past few years. His ex-wife Crystal Renay filed for divorce from the singer after she discovered he had a child with another woman while they were together. Their divorced was finalized in January 2023, and he moved on quickly. Seven months later, Ne-Yo was spotted holding hands with two women while they walked around in Miami Beach.

Nearly a year later, Ne-Yo continues to surround himself with his two girlfriends. After he was asked why he doesn't write songs about his polygamist views, Ne-Yo said he only writes about his own life experiences. He confirmed he was in his first official three-way relationship, despite the various women he's been seen with in the past. He says he's happy, but he doesn't recommend the lifestyle. He also isn't trying to get married again, and neither are his two partners.
